From the election of a President, to the election of Congressional, state and community leaders, our right to vote and the commitment of a peaceful transition is the foundation of our Democratic Republic. Today, America showed that those ideals are still strong and very present.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-center para-style-body\"><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">The right to vote was hard won by many in our country, as recent as the coming of age of our parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. So, today, as the first woman, and a Black and Asian-American, was sworn in by a Hispanic-Latina Supreme Court Justice, I celebrated at the witness of our founding values: E Pluribus Unum \u2013 Out of Many, One. America and Kentucky, needs leaders of all genders, races, ethnicities, and political persuasions to ensure a strong and united future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-center para-style-body\"><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">I am hopeful that in the weeks, months, and years to come, we will each work to realize a future where every person can thrive, contribute to, and benefit from our shared progress.
