Application for Family Friendly Schools
The application for Family Friendly Schools will open on March 15th and be open until May 1st for the Spring window. The application can be found, along with a checklist to certification and evidence guidance, under #5 at https://prichard-backup.com/July/familyengagement/

Community Schools News
Kentucky Community Schools Initiative Updates Feb-March 2024:
- All 20 KCSI District Directors have been hired and are in the process of hosting community and school conversations while building partnerships to improve student outcomes. Visit the Prichard Committee webpage to see the KCSI roster and contact information.
- To build capacity around the Kentucky Community Schools Initiative, learning exchanges are scheduled and ongoing for KCSI District Directors, Principals, FRYSC Coordinators, Superintendents, and Prichard Committee/Groundswell Members.
- Community school strategies are already having a positive impact on students and families in our four Beta districts. New partnerships have been formed and new or improved pillar-based strategies implemented, such as homework diners, extended learning opportunities for English learners, social emotional support for middle school students, and families engaging with community partners and resources to help prepare their scholars for the next level.
