KCSI Updates Jan-Feb 2024:

• Thank you to our 20 KCSI districts for participating in our first KCSI convening in December 2023 at the Embassy Suites in Lexington. It was a great opportunity to learn more about each other and about the initiative! 
• The Community School District Directors are participating in a three-part onboarding webinar series that kicked-off on Thursday, January 18th. Follow-up webinars are scheduled for February 15 and March 21. 
• Learning Exchanges are being planned for KCSI principals, FRYSC coordinators, and other participants. Dates and invites will be shared soon. 
• We recommend each of the 20 KCSI districts send a representative(s) to CIPL training on Feb. 27-29, in Lexington and encourage any district/school that is unfamiliar with the Family Friendly School process to attend an intro session soon. Dates and registration processes have been sent to District Directors or district contacts. 
• We look forward to watching communities and schools transform using the community schools strategy as a vehicle leading to the codesign and co-ownership of school-site action plans at each of our participating schools. Action plans are due in May.
