[wyde_heading subheading_tag=”h3″ style=”2″ title=”A statement from Brigitte Blom Ramsey, executive director of the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence, upon the death of David Jones Sr.” animation=”slideInLeft” el_class=”h12″]

Mr. Jones will long be remembered for his many accomplishments and contributions to his community, state and nation. But those of us working on behalf of Kentucky’s schools are particularly appreciative of his commitment to Kentucky’s children and to building a stronger education system to give them a brighter future. Mr. Jones’ early leadership in support of the Kentucky Education Reform Act and his ongoing advocacy for improving the quality of our schools made a critical, positive difference in the lives of countless students across the Commonwealth.

Members of the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence extend their deepest condolences to his family.
